Aquarium Diver
Aquarium divers care for underwater habitats and aquatic animals by cleaning exhibits, maintaining equipment, monitoring animals, and creating engaging experiences for visitors.
A Day in the Job
Aquarium divers spend part of their day underwater caring for large aquarium exhibits. They clean viewing windows and underwater structures, remove debris, maintain habitats, and observe animals for signs of illness or unusual behavior. Divers may also feed animals underwater, assist with animal enrichment, inspect equipment, and participate in educational demonstrations for visitors. Safety is a major part of the job, so divers carefully follow dive procedures and work closely with other aquarists and dive team members.
