About Us

What is GreenPathways?

GreenPathways is a resource for high school students by high school students. It is a place for youth and young adults to learn about green jobs, explore educational pathways, and connect to local organizations that offer recreation and stewardship opportunities, volunteer positions, internships, paid jobs and more to help build their career pathway.

There are thousands of different jobs that support a healthy environment and so many reasons to explore a green career. We believe that there is a green career out there for everyone! Our goal is to help Colorado youth and young adults find the green careers that best fit them and support them in building a career they love through information, resources, and connections to opportunities.

Our Story

GreenPathways is a project of the Careers in Natural Resources Initiative, a Colorado-based collaboration of more than 100 agencies and organizations across the state working together to create more pathways to enable all young adults to be educated, prepared, and qualified to enter and maintain professional, sustainable natural resource career. The Careers in Natural Resources Initiative is co-led by the Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education and Colorado Youth Corps Association. Together with our Youth Advisory Team we spent 26 months bringing the vision of supporting Colorado youth in exploring green career pathways to life.
